Garages are not simply for parking your vehicles or extra storage anymore. There has been a recent rise in adding additional space above the garage to serve as a space for guests or a loft style apartment.
There is one ongoing garage and guest quarters project located in Bay St. Louis, MS that shows exactly what is possible when you think beyond simply a storage location for your vehicles or your belongings.
The guest quarters that are being built above this particular garage in Bay St. Louis are every bit as elegant and modern as any regular home you can imagine would be. Anyone staying in these guest quarters would feel comfortable and very welcome by the owners of the home.

The small guest quarters have a gorgeous kitchen with every possible amenity included, a bathroom that is more than a simple guest bathroom, a large living area and much more included with it. These rooms have used every inch of space in such a way that no space in the guest quarters is wasted. But it was also very tastefully designed and gives a finished appearance of a place that could easily be a home away from home.
The kitchen is one of the two most amazing rooms in all of the guest quarters. There is a stunning back splash that immediately catches your attention and pulls you into the room. Once your attention has been drawn to the kitchen, the appliances are the next thing that is immediately noticeable. The very modern appliances fit into the kitchen seamlessly and make the overall appearance of the room very pleasing to the eye.
The bathroom is the first room that is simply stunning and it is very apparent that attention was paid to every detail throughout the room. The most striking feature in this room is the claw foot tub standing proudly next to a very elegant shower. The cabinetry has a very clean and refreshing appearance with beautiful silver hardware all throughout the room.
While these rooms are definitely among the most eye catching features in the guest quarters, they are by no means the only stunning parts of this location. The entire quarters has the same clean and modern feel to it. Bricks are used in several locations as an accent and the bricks stand out beautifully against the white that is located elsewhere in the guest quarters. The same silver hardware that was found in the bathroom is found all throughout the guest quarters and give the area a very uniform appearance.
This garage and guest quarter combination is one of the best examples of taking two things that seemingly do not go together and combining them with unbelievable success. Having an open mind and a clear eye for design has paid off in a remarkable way with this project.
